Blue Cheer is a garage rock band most popular in the sixties. Their debut album was a hit. They had a hit with their cover of Eddie Cochran's Summertime Blues. Their version is considered a development in metal. They were named after a variety of LSD. They were a part of the San Francisco sound going on at the time. Summertime Blues features the riff of Foxey Lady by The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
