Hard rock band Led Zeppelin used the Little Richard song Keep A-Knockin' as the basis for the drum riff on their song Rock and Roll. Roots rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival used Good Golly Miss Molly as the basis for their song Travelin' Band. Little Richard was a charter inductee to the actual Hall of Fame. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His piano playing would inspire later musicians Elton John and Billy Joel. Tutti Frutti was preserved in the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress. He is gay. He was inducted by jazz singer Roberta Flack. He was one of the most common inductors of Hall of Famers.
