The Steve Miller Band is a blues rock band active since the sixties. They have been greatly successful, with five certified albums. They have had several hit singles, three going gold. Their greatest hits went diamond. Only Miller was inducted into the Hall of Fame, however, likely due to the instability of the lineup. However, other groups have been inducted with as many as eight members. The group tried to go synthpop in the eighties with the song Abracadabra. Soul musician Seal covered their song Fly Like an Eagle for the movie Space Jam. Boz Scaggs was a member briefly, but would not have been inducted with them as his tenure was not significant. He was nominated for the Hall as a solo artist, however, but not inducted. Les Dudek was also a member, albeit briefly. They were a part of the Haight-Ashbury sound going on at the time. They performed at the Monterey International Pop Festival of 1967. Despite his success Miller was not inducted his first seven years of eligibility. He was inducted by blues rock band The Black Keys.
