The Lovin' Spoonful is a folk rock band most popular in the sixties. They had three hit albums and several hit singles. Single Summer in the City went gold. Member John Sebastian performed at the Woodstock Music and Art Festival of 1969. He collaborated with Crosby, Stills, and Nash at the Woodstock silver anniversary festival. He is scheduled for the golden anniversary festival in 2019. They were named after the song Coffee Blues by Mississippi John Hurt. They were inducted by John Mellencamp.
